Blending the best of sprinting lines and classic lines, Congressionalhonor has been one of Pennsylvania’s most popular stallions since entering stud in 2006. From a family of sire power, he is a half-brother to Horse of the Year Saint Liam, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Classic-G1 and three other Gr. 1 races during his championship season and one of the nation’s leading freshman sires of 2009, represented by the exciting 2-year-old BUDDY’S SAINT.
Also found in the family is top sire SILVER GHOST. The only graded stakes-winning son of Gr. 1 winner and Gr. 1 sprinting sire FORESTRY standing in the region, Congressionalhonor won the Gr. 3 Bay Meadows Derby on the turf by more than two lengths in his stakes debut. A winner on dirt and turf, he displayed speed and stamina to win at a mile while racing on the front end. Congressionalhonor is out of stakes winner and Gr. 2-placed juvenile QUIET DANCE (by classic sire Quiet American). His second dam is a half-sister to champion MINSTRELLA and major winner MISTY GALLORE. His first foals are 3-year-olds of 2010.
