The leading second-crop sire in the Mid-Atlantic region in 2009, Domestic Dispute had more than $1 million in progeny earnings and lead the list by number of winners! His runners of 2009 include stakes horse Deer Lassie and allowance winner Domestic Bliss, who won or placed in seven of 11 starts for earnings of nearly $100,000. Domestic Dispute has always had the look of a leading sire, and was quick to prove it. His eyecatching first crop yearlings sold for up to $240,000 and his first-crop 2-year-olds averaged $61,167!
Offering that classic look, Domestic Dispute was a stellar runner who retired sound, and is from the family of the immortal Native Dancer. During his 4-year-old season he was the leading earner for his sire, the highly commercial Unbridled’s sonG, and amassed $703,115 over three seasons.
Sprinting or going long, Domestic Dispute was a formidable presence. He was second in the Gr. 1 Hollywood Futurity at 2, captured the Gr. 2 Santa Catalina S. in his debut at 3, and took the Strub S.-G2 at 4.
