Two Not For Love Stakes Horses At Monmouth
09/14/2009- Two of NOT FOR LOVE’s champion daughters turned heads in their appearances
at the Jersey shore during the second weekend of September.
Keven Sleeter bred, owned and trained TALKIN ABOUT LOVE, New Jersey’s Horse
of the Year in 2007, looped the field on the far turn and got up for the
victory Monmouth Park’s Revidere S. The 5-year-old mare, winner of the
Monmouth Breeders’ Cup Oaks-G3 two years ago, boosted her lifetime earnings
to $646,153. The Revidere is one of a dozen stakes the chestnut mare has won
or placed in during her career.
John Petrini’s homebred LOVE THAT DANCE, last year’s New Jersey-bred
champion juvenile filly, has four stakes wins or placings to her credit in
2009. Her most recent was a hard-fought second-place finish against open
company in the Trenton S. Giving the winner three pounds, LOVE THAT DANCE
dug in to the wire and missed the victory by a half length. Winner of the
Open Mind H. earlier this year, the filly has now earned $211,249 in 14
starts.
