Northview Welcomes New Farm Manager Chuck Harris To PA Division
Louis Merryman To Assume Farm Manager Duties In Maryland
02/15/2010- The hallmarks of a successful business are to surround yourself with the best people. Ready to step in is the newest member of the Northview team, Chuck Harris, who takes the reins as farm manager at Northview PA. With decades of experience at a number of the most successful farms in the region, Harris has a proven track record that will keep Northview PA running at peak efficiency.
The 39-year-old Harris comes to Northview PA from Maryland, where for the past seven years he was farm manager of Frank and Virginia Wright’s successful Huntingfields Farm. But the day-to-day care of Huntingfields is just part of Harris’s vast experience, a career that was launched from birth in Virginia.
Harris grew up at Edward P. Evans’s Spring Hill Farm assisting his father, farm manager Edward Harris. Upon heading out on his own, Harris was an assistant manager at Rutledge Farm for most of the 1990s. He branched out to tackle new challenges when coordinating and maintaining the operation of Virginia’s famed Hickory Tree Farm before moving on to Huntingfields.
With years of experience from foaling and mare care to yearling sales prep to farm maintenance to coordinating and supervising, Harris provides a well-rounded outlook to the daily operation at Northview PA.
In addition to Harris taking the reins at Northview PA, stallion manager Louis Merryman will assume the duties of farm manager of Northview’s Chesapeake City division.
