Hoppertunity

2011, b, Any Given Saturday - Refugee, by Unaccounted For

The richest stallion ever to enter stud in the Mid-Atlantic, HOPPERTUNITY has been an opportunity too good to pass up – he’s covered 300 mares his first three seasons! He entered stud clean-legged and sound after racing five years at the highest level.

From 34 starts, he earned $4,712,625 and recorded 22 top-three finishes, nine Gr. 1s. His eight stakes wins, all graded, were topped by scores in the historic Jockey Club Gold Cup-G1 at Belmont Park and Clark H.-G1 at Churchill Downs.

He went to Dubai and hit the board in the 2016 Dubai World Cup-G1 behind California Chrome. He was a graded stakes winner each year he ran, adding the Rebel S.-G2 at 3, San Pasqual S.-G2 at 4, San Antonio S.-G2 twice, and Brooklyn Invitational S.-G2 and Tokyo City Cup S.-G3 in his final season.

From the male line of MR. PROSPECTOR through champion FORTY NINER, he is out of graded-placed Refugee, and a half-brother to multiple Gr. 1-winning juvenile filly EXECUTIVEPRIVILEGE, an earner of $999,000 in 10 starts, and two other stakes winners.

His third dam is Hall of Famer DAVONA DALE. His first foals get to the races in 2022.
